The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is sponsoring the Energy Impact Illinois (EI2) program. The EI2 Residential Retrofit Program offers an instant rebate of 70% (up to $1,750) to homeowners who do air sealing or insulation work on their home. The goal of the program is to help homeowners reduce their energy consumption by at least 15%, saving the average home $500 per year.
