The SBA announced that Illinois businesses and residents affected by tornado which occurred on June 21, 2021, may apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman announced today.
The declaration covers DuPage County and the adjacent counties of Cook, Kane, Kendall and Will in Illinois. Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at DisasterLoanAssistance.sba.gov/ela/s and should apply under SBA declaration #17037, not for the COVID-19 incident. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Sept. 14, 2021. The deadline to return economic injury applications is April 18, 2022.
To assist businesses and residents affected by the disaster, the SBA opened a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in DuPage County on Tuesday, July 20. The center will be permanently on Thursday, July 29 at 5:00 p.m.
